Dynamic weighing & reject handling

Checkweigher reject systems engineered around your pack

Remove underweight and overweight packs without creating secondary line problems. We integrate checkweighers with the right reject device, product control, guarding and verification.

The inspection result is only useful when the right product leaves the line.

A checkweigher needs consistent infeed spacing, a stable weighing section and enough downstream distance to reject the correct pack. Oxford Vision Systems reviews the complete handling path rather than treating the reject device as an isolated accessory.

Light pouches may suit air blast, while cartons, jars and heavier products often need a pneumatic pusher, swing arm or powered diverter. High-care and pharmaceutical applications can include lockable reject bins, full-bin monitoring, access supervision and challenge-test routines.

Typical pass / fail criteria

Decisions the reject system can act on.

The final inspection capability depends on the selected equipment, product presentation and agreed acceptance criteria. Sample trials are used where practical.

✓Overweight packs
✓Missing product or component

✓Tare or product mismatch
✓Consecutive weight failures

Specification questions

Before we design the reject station.

Product samples, line drawings and a short production video help us identify the best next step.

Which reject type works with a checkweigher?+

It depends on pack weight, stability, speed and available line length. We assess air blast, pusher, drop flap, swing arm and diverter options.

Can you link the system back to a filler?+

Where supported, weight trends or control signals can be used for filler feedback. The required interface is agreed with the equipment supplier.

Do you provide secure reject bins?+

Yes. Lockable bins, access switches and full-bin sensing can be included where the risk assessment requires controlled rejected product.
