Package integrity & controlled removal

Automatic rejection for leak-detection systems

Keep suspect packs away from accepted product after a pressure, vacuum or seal-integrity test. We engineer the handling and reject sequence around the test method.

The inspection result is only useful when the right product leaves the line.

Leak testing may be performed in-line or through an indexed test station. Failed packs can be unstable, wet or deformed, so the reject mechanism and conveyor surfaces must be chosen with the failure mode in mind. The design also needs to prevent contamination of good product and support cleaning access.

We integrate the leak tester result with product tracking, reject actuation and confirmation. Where a test station holds more than one product at a time, the controls preserve the result for each cavity or position through to final separation.

How our integration works →
Typical pass / fail criteria

Decisions the reject system can act on.

The final inspection capability depends on the selected equipment, product presentation and agreed acceptance criteria. Sample trials are used where practical.

✓Pressure-decay failure
✓Vacuum-decay failure
✓Seal-integrity failure
✓Cap or closure leak
✓Pouch or tray leak
✓Tester fault or no-test
Engineered as one sequence

From detection signal to independently confirmed removal.

01

Test-to-pack association

Control logic maintains the result for each tested product or indexed position.

02

Failure-safe handling

Reject surfaces, containment and drainage reflect the likely leak mode.

03

Verification

A downstream sensor confirms removal or stops the line on a missing reject.

Specification questions

Before we design the reject station.

Product samples, line drawings and a short production video help us identify the best next step.

Can you integrate an existing leak tester?+

Yes, subject to confirming its result outputs, cycle timing and the way products are transferred from the test station.

How are leaking products contained?+

The reject design can include trays, chutes or bins selected for the liquid, cleaning requirements and operator access.

Can a no-test condition be rejected?+

Yes. Products without a valid completed test can be classified as failures and removed automatically.
